Confessions of a Tech Noob: The Power of Communication
There is one thing that is universal in all jobs. Communication. It doesn’t matter what your profession is when it comes to the importance of everyone understanding what the heck is going on . This is something I feel I have always been good at, and great communication has definitely helped my transition into the www.holycrapihavenoideawhatyoujustsaidworld. There is no such thing as a “dumb question” when it comes to keeping the lines of communication open. Thankfully, I am not afraid to ask, and ask, and ask, when something confuses me. Not everyone has this skill, and I consider my ability to embrace my “I don’t get it gene” to be an asset (Monkeys, see what I did there?) (editor’s note: Yes, Treena. We see it. Very clever!)
I know I am not the only one who has a hard time understanding tech people, so I feel my role of communicating what they are saying into “human speak” is crucial to my projects’ successes. And it makes me feel smart. Wicked!
