grateful - warmly or deeply appreciative of kindness or benefits received; thankful
gratitude - the quality or feeling of being grateful or thankful

2014 was a year of growth, challenges, and humbling experiences which filled me with a lot of gratitude for the opportunities to grow both personally and as a partner of Cheeky Monkey Media.

So you just got the latest design from your graphics department. Now it’s up to you, the drupal developer, to take that design and turn it into reality. The problem is that they used some fancy pants new font and you need to make sure it works on every browser and mobile device.

There is one thing that is universal in all jobs. Communication. It doesn’t matter what your profession is when it comes to the importance of everyone understanding what the heck is going on . This is something I feel I have always been good at, and great communication has definitely helped my transition into the www.holycrapihavenoideawhatyoujustsaidworld. (Oh cool, I just made a fake link. Awesome :)

I am absolutely shocked that I have been a “noob” now for 9 months! I find myself taking things for granted that would have knocked my brain cells loose back in November. For example, I somehow managed to wipe my laptop clean of all of my “techie tools” that I use everyday for project management (at least I brought my laptop to work...SCORE!) I don’t know how or why the slate was wiped clean, but it was. Instead of the pure panic that I would have experienced so many months ago, I calmly, and logically, started restoring all of my accesses...ALL ON MY OWN. Collective GASP!

At the end of the week, it’s nice to just sit, relax, and review all the cool things from the past 7 days. What better way to do that, than to sit ‘round the campfire and banter? Word ‘Round the Campfire is our weekly roundup, containing our past week’s blogs, tidbits the Adventure crew has found interesting, and hopefully, a chance for a few laughs and reflection.

Welcome to another round up here at Cheeky Monkey Media. It's a very fun time in the office. We have quite a few people at our physical office and it's starting to feel real.

In case you missed this week's newsletter, you can check it out here. You'll find out what's happening in December around here. Make sure you check out the section on our top chimp.

HEY monkeys. I’ve missed your smiling monkey faces around here. It’s that time again. I break down the hottest stuff happening around the web. Are you ready for this awesomesauce?

The first stop on the monkey weekly train is a blog post written by yours truly. As a client looking for a website, it all can be really confusing. There is a lot of mumbo jumbo you need to know about and this is a great starting point.

Capturing what happens throughout the week is a fun job. You know why? I come out to the beach every Friday with my laptop in hand prepared to deliver an awesome monkey weekly to you. Now, let me take a sip of my banana smoothie before I finish typing this up.

This has been a great week at DrupalCon in Portland. I went, but they had to sneak me in. Why? You ask. Well, I am a monkey and real monkeys are not welcome at these sorts of events. However, the Cheeky Monkey Media humans were there and I watched from Gene’s backpack.

You are probably so excited for this week’s round up!

Well, what are you waiting for? Let’s get started.

    This week in monkey land…
